BROOK GUITAR - $4950
                                         MANY MORE LARGE PICTURES BELOW

For sale is a brand new BROOK Guitar, handmade in Devon, England.

If you aren’t familiar with BROOK Guitars, they create some of the highest quality acoustic guitars in the world. They are small company that makes each guitar by hand, the way it should be it.

This custom guitar is very similar to a Martin 0 in size. It is somehow both stunning and understated at the same time.

The workmanship is flawless and the sound is clear, crisp, balanced, rich and full. The intonation is perfect.

The neck is smooth and the action makes playing it comfortable and easy.

THE STORY BEHIND IT

It takes a while to get one of these made. I began the process over a year ago.
I have since had a total shoulder replacement surgery. I had torn my right rotator cuff twice (playing basketball) and when it happened a third time, they told me that the total shoulder replacement was my only option since the tissues where too damaged to repair again.

I did the months of rehab and have regained almost all of the movement and strength in my shoulder. However, playing a guitar now requires my shoulder to be at an awkward and uncomfortable angle. Therefore, I have had to find a small ‘travel size’ guitar to play.

Well I had already ordered this BROOK guitar before this total shoulder replacement surgery. Once I got it, it is so beautiful and sounds so wonderful… but it is just that little bit too wide and deep for my new ‘mechanical’ shoulder.

For years I played a 1947 Martin D-18. After my first rotator cuff surgery I just couldn’t play it anymore. So I sold it and got a 1937 Martin 00-18. Then, after my second rotator cuff surgery, it became very difficult to play.  I am going to have to sell it also.

And that’s why I ordered the BROOK 0 size guitar, thinking and hoping that a smaller size would work well for me. Then, came the total shoulder replacement surgery, and when the BROOK guitar arrived I was so disappointed that I couldn’t play it for any length of time without pain, even with the smaller 0 size.

My plan now is to have a smaller (12” lower bout) guitar made that will be as high quality as this BROOK guitar, but just a size that works for me.

CLYST CUSTOM

BROOK makes a guitar they call a Clyst, which is a Celtic term meaning “clear stream”.
This is a highly upgraded custom version of the Clyst. It has abalone purflings and rosette, a deeper and darker tint on the front, Waverly tuners, a torch headstock inlay, pyramid bridge, snowflake fret board inlays, etc.

I think that the pictures will give you a good idea of the quality craftsmanship of this guitar.

I have included a spec list that contains what kinds of woods were used, etc.

Here are some measurements…

Total length – 38”
Lower bout – 13 ½”
Upper bout – 9 1/4”
Waist – 8”
Body depth – 3 ¾”
Body length – 19”
Nut – 1 11/16”
Scale length – 25 ½ “
There are 12 frets to the body and 19 overall.

It comes with a really nice hard shell case.

I have included a short video of this guitar being played. Of course, if you listen to the video on your phone or laptop, the sound isn’t going to translate that well. However, I figured something was better than nothing, since the sound and feel of a guitar are what it’s all about.

If you buy this guitar and you are not happy with it, you can send it back for a full refund, other than the cost of insurance and shipping.
As a member of eBay since 2003, I have over 1400 transactions with perfect 100% feedback.

Doing things with integrity is my highest value. Check out “My Martin Story” on my website MartinVintageGuitars.Com to get the details on how I conduct business with others. I will do whatever it takes to insure you are happy with your purchase, or I will return your money.

The price of this guitar is $4950.

EBAY

I will sell this BROOK GUITAR on eBay if I have to, but would much prefer to save us both the fees that eBay and PayPal entail.

I will level with you, I have $5306 (plus a lot of time) into this BROOK guitar. I am okay with losing a little money since it was my situation (shoulder replacement surgery) that is causing me to have to sell it.

If you buy this from my website, I will pay for the insurance and shipping.  If you would be willing to pay with a bank check / cashier’s check, then I will pass the PayPal fee savings on to you. If you pay with a personal check, I would want to wait a few days to send the guitar until the check goes through.

eBay charges 5.85%, which would add $289 to the price.

PayPal charges 2.9%, which would add an additional $143 to the price.

Oklahoma tax is 7.86%, which would add another $375 to your price.

You can skip all of those added expenses if you buy the guitar direct from this website.

If you have never bought a guitar from overseas, I can tell you that it can add a lot of costs and be a real headache.  While I didn't have trouble on this one, one time I had to pay over $400 on a US goverment tax, another $400 plus for Oklahoma State Tax, and $180 for a brokerage fee.  Trying to return it was a real nightmare.

You can skip all of those expenses and problems buying this one right here in the good old USA.
